Players can choose from four paths to receive different tasks and rewards.
With the start of the Alola to Alola event in Pokemon Go, a new series of Special Research tasks has been added to the game.
In order to receive the “Alola to Alola” Special Research tasks, players need to complete the four Special Research storylines that have been available as part of the game’s Season of Alola before June 1, 2022 at 9:59 a.m. local time. These storylines are focused on the four islands in the Alola region of the Pokemon universe: Melemele Island, Akala Island, Ula’ula Island, and Poni Island.
Players also have the option to purchase a ticket for the Alola to Alola Special Research from the in-game store for $4.99. Players who earn this Special Research for free will have the option to purchase a ticket for the Special Research so they can complete it again and earn extra rewards.
The Alola to Alola Special Research storyline will allow players to choose from four different progression paths that are themed after the four islands in the Alola region. The path a player chooses will determine the tasks they’ll be asked to complete and the rewards they’ll receive. For instance, each path allows players to receive one of four different Oricorio Hat avatar items.
If players purchase a ticket to complete this Special Research a second time and they choose to complete the same path they’ve already completed, they won’t receive a duplicate Oricorio Hat avatar item.
