Complete all seven stages to add the Mythical Pokemon Jirachi to your collection.
Earlier this year, Jirachi was available as a prize for Pokemon Go players attending one of the game’s three Pokemon Go Fest events in Chicago, Dortmund, Germany, and Yokohama, Japan. Now, the Mythical Pokemon is up for grabs for everyone as part of a new series of Special Research tasks called “A Thousand-Year Slumber.”
Here’s what the tasks ask you to do, and the in-game prizes you’ll receive for completing them.
A Thousand-Year Slumber Part 1
Rewards: 1,000 experience points for completing the first task, an encounter with Jigglypuff for completing the second task, and an encounter with Feebas for completing the third task; 1 Mossy Lure Module, 1 Glacial Lure Module, and 1 Magnetic Lure Module when all three tasks are completed (These Lure Modules were previously only available for 200 PokeCoins each in the in-game store.)
A Thousand-Year Slumber Part 2
Rewards: 10 Whismur Candy for completing the first task and 1,500 experience points for completing the second and third tasks (3,000 experience points total); 2,000 Stardust, 10 Poke Balls, and 3 Incense when all three tasks are completed
*You can earn the Gold Hoenn medal by registering 90 Pokemon from the Hoenn region of the Pokemon universe to your in-game Pokedex. If you’ve already earned the Gold Hoenn medal, this task will be automatically completed when you first begin Part 2.
