Early players will receive free in-game items.
Zynga, the company behind mobile games like Wonka’s World of Candy and Words With Friends, has announced that players can now pre-register for Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells on Android devices.
Announced in March, Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells is a match-three puzzle game that will take players to the Wizarding World, where they’ll be able to create their own character, complete puzzles, collect spells, join Clubs with other players, and more.
The game will include voice recordings from the Harry Potter films, as well as the original film soundtrack.
Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells will be released on iOS, Android, Kindle, and Facebook, but pre-registration is only available on Android devices at this time. You can head to the Google Play store to pre-register for the game and receive an alert when it’s available to download. (The game is rated E for Everyone.)
Players who download the game during its first week after launch will receive a special “Welcome Bundle” containing in-game rewards, such as a “custom item for their in-game avatar.”
In a press release, Bernard Kim, president of publishing at Zynga, commented on the game:
“With Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells, we’ll be delighting fans with the memorable characters, sounds and stories of the original books and films. But we’re also bringing more dimension to the match-3 genre. Players will earn XP and become more powerful, acquire and level up spells, engage in special events and connect and compete with one another through the Clubs feature.”
If you don’t have an Android device, you can still technically “pre-register” for the game by entering your email address on the game’s official website. You’ll receive an email when the game is available.
Zynga didn’t announce an official release date for Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells, so keep checking back with SuperParent, as we’ll make sure to let you know when you can download it on your mobile device.
