Epic shared details about Fortnite's enhancements on next-gen consoles.
When the Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5 launch later this month (on November 10 and November 12, respectively), Fortnite will be one of the many games available for owners to enjoy right away (and you’ll be able to carry over your in-game progress to the new consoles).
Fortnite won’t be removed from older systems, so your family will still be able to enjoy the battle royale game even if you aren’t investing in a next-generation console. However, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S versions of the game will feature a number of technical improvements when compared to other versions.
These changes include graphical upgrades, faster loading times, and more. You can learn more about the game’s next-gen improvements on Fortnite’s website.
To celebrate the launch of these new consoles, Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, is giving away a free Throwback Axe Pickaxe to all Fortnite players on all currently supported platforms.
This Throwback Axe Pickaxe will be available in Fortnite and through the PlayStation Store from now until January 15, 2021, so you have plenty of time to claim it for your account.
