Pokemon Go August 25 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Tuesday, August 25th, 2020 7:03 am

Get ready to earn lots of Stardust!

Trainers, the final Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event for August 2020 will take place on August 25.

On August 25 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, Geodude will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal amount of Stardust when you capture Pokemon. This bonus Stardust will apply to every Pokemon you capture during this event, and not just Geodude.

Geodude is a Rock- and Ground-type Pokemon from the first Generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, Geodude can be evolved into Graveler using 25 Geodude Candy. You can then evolve Graveler into Golem using 100 Geodude Candy. Graveler is also one of the Pokemon that can be evolved for free once it’s traded.

If you want to make the most of this event, remember to activate a Star Piece in order to earn even more Stardust when you capture Pokemon.

Finally, keep in mind that this event will give you an increased chance of finding Shiny Geodude.

While this is the final Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour for August, we expect a new series of Spotlight Hour events will be announced for September in the coming days. Keep checking back with SuperParent, as we’ll make sure to let you know if and when these events are announced.
