Our gameplay video will give you a preview of what to expect.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl are now available on Nintendo Switch. The games are updated remakes of the original Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl video games that were released on Nintendo DS in 2006.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl take players to the Sinnoh region of the Pokemon universe, where they’ll be able to capture Pokemon, battle against other Pokemon trainers, compete in Gym battles, participate in Pokemon Contests, and more.
While the games will be familiar to fans who played the original Pokemon Diamond and/or Pokemon Pearl, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have been updated with some quality of life improvements that weren’t seen in the original games.
For instance, after players compete in a Pokemon battle, every Pokemon on their team will earn experience points even if they didn’t compete in the battle.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl also offer new features that weren’t seen in the original games. As an example, players will be able to visit an area called Ramanas Park, where they’ll be able to encounter Legendary Pokemon.
Finally, while Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl offer the same core gameplay, there are a few noteworthy differences between the two games. For instance, each game has a different featured Legendary Pokemon (Dialga for Brilliant Diamond and Palkia for Shining Pearl).
