Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is coming soon to Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game is a remake of Monster World IV, which was released in Japan in 1994.
In Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World, players will need to help a young girl named Asha and her companion, Pepelogoo, free four spirits and defeat evil creatures.
Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is a side-scrolling platformer that challenges players to jump on and over platforms, avoid obstacles, open chests, collect coins, defeat enemies, and more.
The game has two difficulty levels to choose from. The Normal difficulty is similar to the original gameplay experience found in Monster World IV, while the Easy difficulty makes healing items easier to collect.
Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is rated E10+ for Everyone 10+ by the ESRB. While the game is family-friendly, it doesn’t feature voice acting, so players will need to know how to read to follow along with the story. In our time with the game, we noticed a few grammatical errors in the game’s text.
Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World will be released physically and digitally on Switch and PlayStation 4 on May 28.
The physical version of the game is being published by ININ Games, and it will include Monster World IV as an added bonus. The physical version of Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World will cost $39.99.
The digital version of Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is being published by STUDIOARTDINK, and it will not include Monster World IV (Monster World IV is exclusive to the physical version of Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World). The digital version of Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World will be available for $34.99.
Finally, the digital version of Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World will be released on PC on June 29. It also won’t include Monster World IV.
