Dreams will let you create games to share with the world.
As we head into February, there are plenty of big-name games to watch out for that are coming out next month. For instance, Dreams will allow you to unleash your creativity as you build your own games, while The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics will challenge your strategic thinking skills.

Appropriate for: Teens who are interested in creating their own games
Rather than just being a traditional game, Dreams is more of a “platform” that lets you create your own games and experiences to share with the world, and then try those made by other people. It also contains a story mode that allows you to play through different experiences created by Dreams’ developer. Dreams is rated T for Teen by the ESRB, with content descriptors for “Fantasy Violence” and “Language.”

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics

Appropriate for: Older kids who like strategic thinking
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is a turn-based role-playing game (RPG) inspired by the television series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. The game allows you to help the Gelfling in their fight against the Skeksis by completing more than 50 different battles. Since this is a “tactics”-style video game, its battles take place on grid-based battlefields, and allow you to use strategic thinking to come out on top. The game contains 14 playable characters, which you can customize over time by assigning them jobs, changing their abilities, and more.

Appropriate for: Older kids and teens who enjoy “tycoon”-style simulation games
This hospital simulation game lets you build and manage a hospital where you’ll treat patients with a variety of wacky illnesses, such as “light-headedness” (the patient’s head has become a light bulb) and “cubism” (the patient’s body is made of cubes). You’ll need to build different rooms in the hospital to treat each ailment, and you can also upgrade your staff to improve their performance over time. While the game is family-friendly, it does come with ESRB content descriptors for “Animated Blood” and “Crude Humor.”
