Here's what these new tasks ask you to do!
During Pokemon Go Fest 2020 in July, trainers around the world worked together to complete a series of 32 global challenges. By completing these challenges, players unlocked three “Ultra Unlock” events that took place throughout the month of August.
The first Ultra Unlock event — “Dragon Week” — was held from July 31 to August 7. As part of the Dragon Week festivities, players could complete a series of Timed Research tasks in order to receive encounters with Deino, Dratini, and more.
Players were supposed to be able to complete these tasks at any point during Dragon Week, but a technical issue caused them to disappear from the game prematurely. This means players didn’t have as much time to finish these tasks as the developer, Niantic, had originally intended.
To make up for this, Niantic announced that a Dragon Week makeup event would be held from August 21 to August 26.
During this time, trainers can complete a new series of Ultra Unlock 2020 Timed Research tasks, which will reward them with the same prizes that were given away during Dragon Week, but will ask them to complete different tasks.
Here’s what the Ultra Unlock 2020 Makeup Timed Research tasks ask you to do, and the rewards you’ll receive for completing them.
