Stock up on Pokemon Candy!
Trainers, the next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event is scheduled to take place on October 19, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During this event, Gothita will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon.
Gothita is a Psychic-type Pokemon from the fifth generation of the Pokemon universe. It has two evolutions. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Gothita into Gothorita using 25 Gothita Candy, and then evolve Gothorita into Gothitelle using 100 Gothita Candy.
As of this writing, Shiny Gothita is not available in Pokemon Go.
To make the most of this week’s event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Gothita to capture and more chances to stock up on Gothita Candy.
Plus, you can activate a Lucky Egg to earn even more experience points for each Pokemon you capture during this event. The Lucky Egg bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of experience points in a short amount of time.
Following this week’s event, there’s still one more Spotlight Hour to look forward to in October. On October 26, Murkrow will be the featured Pokemon and you’ll receive two times the normal number of experience points for evolving Pokemon.
