Here's your chance to earn lots of bonus experience points!
Trainers, the next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event is scheduled to take place on November 23, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During this event, Chimchar will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon.
Chimchar is a Fire-type Pokemon from the fourth generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Chimchar into Monferno using 25 Chimchar Candy, and then evolve Monferno into Infernape using 100 Chimchar Candy.
Shiny Chimchar is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Chimchar is a shade of pink, rather than orange.
To make the most of this week’s event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Chimchar to encounter and more opportunities to potentially find a Shiny one.
Plus, you can activate a Lucky Egg to receive double the normal number of experience points for completing in-game actions for a limited time. The Lucky Egg bonus would stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of experience points for catching Pokemon during this event.
Following this week’s event, there’s still one more Spotlight Hour to look forward to in November 2021. Piplup will be the featured Pokemon on November 30.
