Pokemon Go May 12 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Tuesday, May 12th, 2020 7:31 am

Earn bonus experience points for a limited time this week!

Trainers, the next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event is coming soon!

On May 12 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, the Grass-type Pokemon Sunkern will appear more frequently in the wild, and you’ll also earn two times the normal amount of experience points (XP) for capturing Pokemon. This bonus XP applies to all species of Pokemon, and not just Sunkern.

If you want to make the most of this event without leaving the house, make sure to activate an Incense during the event so that wild Pokemon will be attracted to your location. In addition, you can activate a Lucky Egg so that you’ll earn double the amount of experience points for 30 minutes. This Lucky Egg bonus will stack with the Pokemon Spotlight Hour bonus, so you can rack up tons of XP in a very short amount of time!

Pokemon Spotlight Hours will take place every Tuesday throughout the month of May. Last week’s event featured Shellder, while the next two events will star Poochyena (May 19) and Bronzor (May 26).

Make sure to mark your calendars so that you don’t miss out on any of these exciting events! And keep checking back with SuperParent, as we’ll continue to bring you all of the latest news about Pokemon Go!
