Trainers, Pokemon Go now allows players to purchase premium event tickets for other players.
Players can purchase tickets for any in-game friend that they have reached at least the “Great Friend” friendship level with, as long as that friend doesn’t already have the ticket in their inventory and they haven’t already received the ticket from another player. The “Great Friend” friendship level is represented by having two full friendship hearts out of the four possible friendship hearts. You can learn more about this feature in our previous coverage.
Here’s how you can buy an event ticket for a friend in Pokemon Go!
Before we begin, keep in mind that players aren’t required to purchase event tickets for themselves or for friends to continue playing Pokemon Go.
Open Pokemon Go and tap the Poke Ball at the bottom of the screen.
Next, tap the “Shop” icon.
Tap the ticket you want to purchase for a friend. For this example, we’ll tap the “A Rocky Road” ticket, which is associated with May 2022’s Pokemon Go Community Day event.
Tap the “Gift” button.
You’ll see a list of your in-game friends. Tap the one you want to purchase the ticket for.
Now, tap the “Confirm” button to finish the transaction on your device.
