Pokemon Go Electabuzz Community Day: Everything You Need to Know

Wednesday, October 28th, 2020 7:04 am

Not one, but two Community Day events are taking place in November.

Trainers, November will be a unique month in the world of Pokemon Go, as two separate Community Day events will be held on two different days next month.

Electabuzz will be the star of the first Community Day event in November, which will take place on November 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time.

During this time, Electabuzz will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll have the chance to encounter a Shiny one. Plus, if you activate an Incense during this event, it will last for three hours (rather than one), and Eggs placed into Incubators during this event will hatch after walking just one quarter of the normal required distance. Finally, Elekid will have the chance to hatch from 2 km Eggs that you collect during this event.

Electabuzz has a single evolution. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Electabuzz into Electivire using 100 Electabuzz Candy and a Sinnoh Stone. Each time you evolve Electabuzz into Electivire during this event (or during the two hours immediately following it), Electivire will learn the move Flamethrower.

Elsewhere, players will be able to complete special Timed Research and Field Research tasks during Electabuzz Community Day. While we don’t know all of the rewards that will be available for completing the Timed Research, in a news post, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, said the rewards will include Sinnoh Stones.

There will be two ways to spend real money during this Community Day event, but, as usual, you’re not required to spend any money to enjoy the regular Community Day festivities. First, you’ll have the option to spend $1 to access a series of Special Research tasks in a storyline called “Electric for Electabuzz.”

In addition, an Electabuzz Community Day Box will be available in the in-game shop for 1,280 PokeCoins. It will contain an Elite Fast TM, three Super Incubators, three Incense, and 30 Ultra Balls.

Finally, Niantic said players should take AR Snapshots during this event “for a surprise!”
