Bidoof, Bidoof, and more Bidoof!
Trainers, a one-day event is coming to Pokemon Go to celebrate Bidoof Day!
The Bidoof Day event will take place on July 1 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time as part of the game’s larger Bidoof Breakout event (some features from the Bidoof Breakout event will also be available during the Bidoof Day event).
In a news post, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, said Bidoof will appear “at an incredibly high rate” during this Bidoof Day event, and players will earn four times the normal number of experience points for each Pokemon they capture during this time. Bidoof will also be the only Pokemon available to battle in Tier-1, Tier-3, and Tier-5 Raids during this Bidoof Day event (Mega Raids won’t be available at all).
Bidoof captured during this event will know the move Superpower, and you’ll be able to use a Charged TM to teach Bidoof the moves Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Superpower, or Thunderbolt. After this event ends, you’ll still be able to teach these moves to Bidoof using an Elite Charged TM.
Next, during this event, Team Go Rocket Grunts will use Shadow Bidoof on their teams more frequently, and players will be able to compete in the Bidoof Cup in the game’s Go Battle League. Only Bidoof will be able to participate in the Bidoof Cup.
Finally, players will be able to complete an event-themed Special Research storyline to receive a Bidoof Hat for their in-game avatar. This Special Research will be unique in that it will give players the chance to make choices that affect how the story and event plays out.
