The 2022 Pokemon Go Anniversary Event has kicked off in Pokemon Go! This event will run from July 6, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time until July 12, 2022 at 8 p.m. local time. You can learn more about this event in our previous coverage.
As part of the Pokemon Go Anniversary Event, players can complete a series of Timed Research tasks to earn in-game rewards.
According to Serebii.net, here are what the Pokemon Go Anniversary Event Timed Research tasks ask players to do, and the rewards players will receive for completing them.
Anniversary Event Research Part 1
- Catch 15 Pokemon – 15 Poke Balls
- Catch 5 Different Species of Pokemon – 10 Great Balls
- Make 5 Nice Throws – 5 Ultra Balls
- Make 3 Great Throws – 500 experience points
- Make 5 Great Curveball Throws – An encounter with Foongus
- Use 10 Berries to Help Catch Pokemon – 500 Stardust
Final Rewards: One Poffin and an encounter with Cake Costume Pikachu
Anniversary Event Research Part 2
- Play With Your Buddy – 5 Razz Berries
- Give Your Buddy a Treat – 5 Nanab Berries
- Take a Snapshot of Your Buddy – 5 Pinap Berries
- Battle Another Trainer With Your Buddy Pokemon While It’s Adventuring With You – 500 experience points
- Earn 5 Hearts With Your Buddy – An encounter with Eevee
- Earn a Candy Exploring With Your Buddy – 500 Stardust
Final Rewards: One Poffin and an encounter with Party Hat Charmander

- Take 5 Snapshots of Wild Pokemon – 5 Potions
- Take a Snapshot of Charmander – 5 Revives
- Take a Snapshot of Your Buddy – 15 Poke Balls
- Take a Snapshot of 5 Different Pokemon – 500 experience points
- Take a Snapshot of a Normal-Type Pokemon – An encounter with Meowth
- Take Snapshots of 3 Different Wild Fire-, Water-, or Grass-Type Pokemon – 500 Stardust
Final Rewards: One Unova Stone and an encounter with Pansear
Anniversary Event Research Part 4
- Spin 5 PokeStops or Gyms – 20 Poke Balls
- Hatch an Egg – 3 Golden Razz Berries
- Walk 2 km – 3 Silver Pinap Berries
- Earn a Candy Exploring With Your Buddy – 500 experience points
- Complete 5 Field Research Tasks – 3 Rare Candy
- Battle in a Gym Three Times – 500 Stardust
Final Rewards: One Premium Battle Pass and an encounter with Gible
Anniversary Event Research Part 5
- Send 5 Gifts to Friends – 20 Super Potions
- Send 5 Gifts to Friends and Add a Sticker to Each – 35 Revives
- Transfer 15 Pokemon – 500 experience points
- Battle in 2 Raids – 1 Fast TM
- Win a Level 1 or Higher Raid – 1 Charge TM
- Power Up Pokemon 10 Times – 500 Stardust
Final Rewards: One Rocket Radar and an encounter with Snorlax

- Automatically Completed Task – 1,000 experience points
