Every mode supports online play.
During a recent video presentation, Nintendo revealed Mario Party Superstars, a new Switch game in the Mario Party series that features game boards that were originally seen in the Mario Party titles that were released for the Nintendo 64.
If your family is unfamiliar with the Mario Party series, these games allow players to make their way around virtual game boards as they play a variety of wacky mini-games.
Mario Party Superstars will feature five classic boards, such as the Peach’s Birthday Cake board from the original Mario Party. As players make their way around these boards, they’ll be able to play 100 different mini-games (all of which use button controls). Some of these games were also seen in previous Mario Party titles on the Nintendo 64 and Nintendo GameCube.
The game will feature multiple modes, and every mode will support online play (online gameplay requires each person to have a Nintendo Switch Online membership). You’ll also be able to play with others in the same room.
Mario Party Superstars will be released on Switch on October 29 for $59.99. The digital version of the game is available to pre-order now on the Nintendo eShop. While Mario Party Superstars has yet to be rated by the ESRB, previous Mario Party games were rated E for Everyone, so we expect Mario Party Superstars will receive the same rating.
