Players can embark on an adventure with up to three other players in the same room.
Nintendo released Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe on Nintendo Switch. The original Kirby’s Return to Dream Land video game was released on Nintendo’s Wii console in 2011. Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe is an updated version of this original game with new features.
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe is a side-scrolling platformer that challenges players to help a friendly character named Magolor return home after their spaceship crashes on Planet PopStar.
As players make their way through each area in the game, they’ll be able to inhale enemies to use a variety of “Copy Abilities” inspired by those enemies. For instance, players can use the “Sword” ability to swing a sword at enemies. The game also features two new Copy Abilities: “Mecha” and “Sand.”
Throughout the game, players can call on Magolor for help. Specifically, Magolor can double the player’s health, save players if they fall into a bottomless pit, and provide players with Copy Abilities during the game’s boss battles.
While players can complete Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe on their own, the game also supports up to four-player cooperative gameplay for players in the same room using a single Switch system.
Once players complete the main story mode in Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe, they’ll unlock the new “Magolor Epilogue,” which will allow them to control Magolor, who has lost his abilities. As players make their way through this epilogue story, they’ll be able to reclaim and upgrade Magolor’s powers. This mode also supports up to four-player cooperative gameplay for players in the same room.
Finally, in addition to completing the main story and epilogue, players can travel to Merry Magoland where they can play 10 mini-games, including two that are new to Kirby’s Dream Land Deluxe. The mini-games in Merry Magoland support multiplayer gameplay for up to four players in the same room.
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe is now available on Switch for $59.99. Players can download a free demo for the game from the Nintendo eShop if they’d like to try the game before buying it. The demo supports up to four-player multiplayer gameplay for players in the same room.
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe is rated E10+ for the Everyone 10+ by the ESRB.
