Complete challenges in this open-world skiing and snowboarding game.
Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands is now available on Switch and PC.
Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands is a skiing and snowboard game that allows players to complete challenges at 12 open-world ski resorts. Players can freely switch between using skis or a snowboard.
Players can control their character by pressing left and right in an alternating fashion to gain speed. Once they’re moving, they can continue using the left and right buttons to steer. Players can also press a button to quickly stop. The game’s challenges and mountain courses have varying difficulty levels, and may require players to watch out for obstacles in the environment, such as other skiers, trees, deer, and avalanches.
Many challenges are timed, and players can earn medal rankings if they complete a challenge quickly enough. Players can also replay challenges in an effort to improve their fastest time.
As players complete challenges, they’ll collect Ski Passes, or “points” that allow them to unlock new ski lifts and challenges around their current mountain, as well as unlock additional resorts to explore. Players can also find collectibles while playing.
In addition to offering this “normal,” structured mode, Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands features a “Zen Mode” that turns off the game’s challenges, removes non-playable characters from the resorts, and more. This mode allows players to freely explore each resort in a more relaxed way.
Finally, Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands supports local multiplayer for up to four people.
Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands is now available on Switch for $34.99 and on PC for $19.99. The physical version of the game is now available in Europe, and will be released in North America on March 22, 2022.
Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB. While the game is family-friendly, it doesn’t feature voice acting, so players will need to know how to read to follow along with the game’s instructions, or play alongside someone who can teach them how to play.
