Help Crash save the dimensions on new platforms!
Last fall, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The latest game in the Crash Bandicoot franchise challenged players to help Crash and his sister, Coco defeat villains from previous Crash Bandicoot games (like Neo Cortex and Dr. N. Trophy), who have teamed up to take over every dimension in existence. (Learn more about the game in our full review.)
While Crash Bandicoot 4 is currently only available on PS4 and Xbox One, you’ll soon have the option to play the game on different platforms, as Activision announced Crash Bandicoot 4 is coming to Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC later this year.
If you already own Crash Bandicoot 4 on PS4 or Xbox One (or if you purchase the game for one of those systems in the future), you’ll receive a next-gen upgrade for the game at no additional cost. That is, if you own the game on PlayStation 4, you’ll receive a free next-gen upgrade for PS5. Or, if you own the game for Xbox One, you’ll receive the upgrade for Xbox Series X/S. This upgrade includes the ability to transfer your saved data, so you won’t have to start the game over from scratch.
Activision said the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Crash Bandicoot 4 will run in 4K at 60 FPS. They’ll also feature quicker loading times.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be released on Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on March 12, 2021. It will be released on PC later this year via Activision’s Battle.net service. The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game will cost $59.99, while the Switch and PC versions will be cheaper, at $39.99.
