Everything you need to know!
In 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons celebrated International Children’s Day in June by adding two Children’s Day items — a Handmade Cape and Handmade Crown — to the Nook Shopping catalog for a limited time.
While it’s possible these items may be re-released this year, currently, New Horizons is celebrating the Japanese Children’s Day holiday (which takes place on May 5) with two new items in the Nook Shopping catalog: the Carp Banner and the Newsprint Helmet.
Here’s how to add these items to your collection in New Horizons!
Head into the Resident Services building and interact with the Nook Stop terminal in the corner.
Choose “Nook Shopping.” Remember, if you’ve unlocked the Nook Shopping app on your NookPhone, you can access the Nook Shopping catalog from anywhere without visiting Resident Services.
Select “Special Goods.”
Press “L” on your controller to move to the Seasonal items tab.
The Carp Banner costs 5,500 Bells, while the Newsprint Helmet costs just 120 Bells. Highlight the item you want to purchase and press “A” to select it.
If you want to purchase the item for yourself or to send to someone at a later time, choose “Place Order.” If you want to send the item to a friend right now, choose “Send as Gift.”
These Children’s Day items will only be available May 5. Make sure to purchase as many as you think you’ll want or need now before they’re gone!
