Animal Crossing New Horizons: How to Unlock the Nook Shopping App on Your NookPhone

You'll earn a fun reward for doing lots of shopping on your island.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can collect items -- like furniture and clothing -- in a variety of ways. You can shop at Nook’s Cranny, pop balloons with your slingshot to grab the presents they’re carrying, shake trees to find furniture items hiding in the leaves, and more.

You can also purchase new items through the Nook Shopping catalog, which is accessible through the Nook Stop terminal in the Resident Services building. The Nook Shopping catalog sells a different selection of new items each day, and it also allows you to “re-buy” items that you’ve already owned (though there are quite a few exceptions). Finally, you can use the Nook Shopping catalog to buy and instantly send items to other New Horizons players.

At first, the only way to access the Nook Shopping catalog is by visiting the Resident Services building. However, did you know you can unlock a Nook Shopping app on your NookPhone? This app allows you to browse the catalog at any time, and purchase and send items without taking a trip to the Resident Services building!

How do you unlock the Nook Shopping app? It’s pretty simple. All you have to do is buy 100 items from the Nook Shopping catalog.

This process may take some time to complete, but you can always check your progress by going into the Nook Miles app on your NookPhone and looking at the “Shop to It” stamp card.

Once you’ve purchased your 100th item, the game will reward you with the Nook Shopping app automatically.

From there, you can simply open up your NookPhone and access the Nook Shopping app whenever you want!
