Pokemon Go A Spooky Message Unmasked Research Tasks Guide

Pokemon Go’s 2020 Halloween event has officially begun! As part of this year’s event, players can complete a new series of Special Research tasks called “A Spooky Message Unmasked” in order to earn a variety of in-game rewards, such as experience points and Pokemon encounters. There are four sets of three tasks to complete in the “A Spooky Message Unmasked” storyline. Here’s what these tasks ask you to do, and the rewards you’ll receive for completing them.

A Spooky Message Unmasked Part 1

• Catch 30 Ghost-Type Pokemon – An encounter with Duskull
• Transfer 4 Pokemon – 340 Stardust
• Catch 34 Pokemon – 340 Experience Points

Final Rewards: 3 Pinap Berries, 4 Razz Berries, and an encounter with Yamask when all three tasks are finished

A Spooky Message Unmasked Part 2

• Catch 10 Dark-type Pokemon
• Make 8 Nice Throws – 10 Poke Balls
• Catch 108 Pokemon – 1,080 experience points

According to LeekDuck, you’ll receive an encounter with costumed Sableye for catching 10 Dark-type Pokemon.

Final Rewards: According to LeekDuck, you’ll receive 10 Potions, 8 Great Balls, and an encounter with Spiritomb when all three tasks are finished

A Spooky Message Unmasked Part 3

• Catch 40 Ghost-type Pokemon – An encounter with Litwick
• Make 9 Great Throws – 490 Stardust
• Catch 49 Pokemon – 490 Experience Points

Final Rewards: 4 Silver Pinap Berries, 9 Golden Razz Berries, and an encounter with Galarian Yamask when all three tasks are finished

A Spooky Message Unmasked Part 4

• Automatically Completed Task – 3,400 Experience Points
• Automatically Completed Task – 1,080 Experience Points
• Automatically Completed Task – 4,900 Experience Points

Final Rewards: 4 Yamask Candy, 9 Yamask Candy, and 4,900 Stardust when all three tasks are completed
