Adopt more chickens for your farm!
As you explore your new farm in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, you’ll come across a number of dilapidated buildings that you can repair by collecting the required materials. One of these buildings is a Coop, and once you repair it, you can begin raising chickens on your farm!
The standard Coop can only hold five chickens at a single time. If you want to raise more than that, you’ll need to purchase another Coop for your farm. The Carpenter’s Workshop sells both standard Coops and Big Coops, which can hold more chickens. Here’s everything you need to know about adding a Big Coop to your farm!
When you want to add a Big Coop to your farm, head to the Carpenter’s Workshop and tell Nigel you want to “develop farm facilities.” Remember, the Carpenter’s Workshop isn’t open on Wednesdays.
The Big Coop costs 10 Solid Lumber, 10 Silver Ingots, 50 Flexible Grass, and 6,000 gold. To be clear, the Big Coop is a brand new building for your farm — this isn’t an expansion for your existing Coop.
When you purchase a Big Coop, the building will be added to your inventory. You can then head back to your farm and place it wherever you’d like. If you ever want another Big Coop, you can head back to the Carpenter’s Workshop with the necessary materials to purchase one. You can have up to 10 Coops and Big Coops (combined) on your farm at the same time.
Each Big Coop can hold up to 10 chickens and 20 Fodder at once. The Big Coop also contains extra nesting space for your animals. Finally, your chickens can give birth in Big Coops if you purchase a breeding kit from the Animal Shop.
It may take you some time to collect the required materials and gold to purchase a Big Coop. That being the case, you may want to check out the ChargePlay Clutch from HyperX. It can extend your device’s battery life so you can play Pioneers of Olive Town (and other Switch games) for a longer period of time before having to charge your Switch. Head over to HyperX’s website to learn more about the ChargePlay Clutch and the company’s other Switch accessories.
