The game's first special event is coming soon!
Pikmin Bloom was released on mobile devices in late October 2021. The free-to-play mobile game encourages players to walk around the real world in order to grow Pikmin in the game.
Pikmin Bloom was created by Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go. Similar to Pokemon Go, Pikmin Bloom will have special Community Day events that will encourage players to play the game during a specific time frame to access special bonuses.
The first Pikmin Bloom Community Day event will take place on November 13 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time.
During this time, seedlings that players have planted will grow at 1.5 times the normal speed as players walk. Plus, any fruits that players collect during this time will be worth two times the normal number of Nectar.
If players walk 10,000 or more steps on November 13, they’ll receive a “Community Day Participant” badge for their in-game profile, but they may not receive it right away. In a news post, Niantic said, “Please note there may be a slight delay until the badge is awarded. You will need to log in to Pikmin Bloom at least once during the 2 weeks after Community Day”.
Finally, Niantic revealed one more bonus that will be active during Community Day:
“When you plant regular flowers, Big Flowers will bloom into pansies… but when you plant pansies, you may encounter an even rarer type of Big Flower!”
Niantic said that Big Flowers may begin blooming into pansies starting on November 12, and that this feature “will continue throughout the weekend.”
