Charjabug has a special evolutionary requirement.
With the start of the 2022 Bug Out event in Pokemon Go, three new Pokemon became available to collect in the free-to-play mobile game: Grubbin, Charjabug, and Vikavolt.
While Grubbin has a normal evolutionary requirement (you can evolve Grubbin into Charjabug using 25 Grubbin Candy), Charjabug has a special evolutionary requirement.
Here’s how to evolve Charjabug into Vikavolt in Pokemon Go!
Charjabug can be evolved into Vikavolt using 100 Grubbin Candy when you’re near a PokeStop that has an active Magnetic Lure Module. You can see this requirement if you tap on Charjabug in your Pokemon collection and look at the information to the right of the “Evolve” button.
If you tap the “Evolve” button when you aren’t near a PokeStop with an active Magnetic Lure Module, you won’t be able to evolve the Pokemon, even if you have 100 Grubbin Candy.
You can tell when a PokeStop has an active Magnetic Lure Module by looking for gray squares falling around the PokeStop on the in-game map. Whenever you’re close to one of these PokeStops, you can tap on Charjabug in your Pokemon collection and evolve it into Vikavolt using 100 Grubbin Candy.
