Players will need to redeem a code to receive the Timed Research.
As spotted by Serebii.net, Pokemon Go players will be able to collect new Timed Research tasks by watching the 2022 Pokemon Go World Championships live streams that will be broadcasted from August 18-20, 2022.
This Timed Research will not be given to all players by default. Instead, codes for receiving the Timed Research will be shared during the Pokemon Go World Championships live streams.
Once a code is shared, Pokemon Go players will be able to redeem the code on Niantic’s code redemption website to receive the Timed Research in the free-to-play mobile game. (Niantic is the developer of Pokemon Go.) While multiple different codes will be shared during the live streams, players will only need to redeem one code to receive the Timed Research. You can learn more about redeeming codes in Pokemon Go in our guide.
Each of these codes will expire one hour after it has been shared.
According to the Pokemon Go website, the Timed Research will give players “an introduction to battling plus a choice of Pokémon encounters for them to craft a competitive Great League team!”
Players will be able to choose from three team options that will determine which three Pokemon they’ll be able to encounter. Here are the options:
Pokemon Go will also host a 2022 Pokemon World Championships event from August 18, 2022 to August 23, 2022. You can learn more about this event in our previous coverage.
