Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Pallet Town Collection Challenge Guide

Friday, February 19th, 2021 12:26 pm

Start the event by collecting Pokemon inspired by Pallet Town!

Trainers, the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event is officially here! On February 20 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time, players around the world will be able to encounter Pokemon from the Kanto region in the wild, among many other features. (To learn more about this partially ticketed event, check out our previous coverage).

As part of the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event, ticket holders will be able to complete 10 different Collection Challenges from now until February 28 at 7:59 p.m. local time. Five of these Challenges are inspired by the way players can collect the Pokemon required to complete them (like the Raid and Evolve challenges, as examples), while the other five are inspired by locations from the original Pokemon video games.

Here’s everything you need to know about completing the Pallet Town Collection Challenge!

According to Serebii.net, the Pallet Town Collection Challenge asks players to collect 10 different Pokemon:

  • Bulbasaur
  • Charmander
  • Squirtle
  • Caterpie
  • Weedle
  • Pidgey
  • Rattata
  • Spearow
  • Pikachu
  • Zubat

On the Pokemon Go support website, Niantic, the creator of Pokemon Go, said all of these Pokemon will appear in the wild and have the chance to be attracted to Incense during the two “Pallet Town” hours within the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event, as well as during the final two-hour window of the event.

The Pallet Town hours run from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. local time and from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. local time. During the last two hours of the event (from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. local time), Pokemon from all of the different hourly blocks will appear in the wild, giving you another chance to collect any Pokemon from this collection that you might have missed.

According to Serebii.net, when you finish this Collection Challenge, you’ll receive 151 Stardust, 30 Poke Balls, and an encounter with Spearow.

Remember, even if you don’t finish this Collection Challenge during the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event itself, you will still have the chance to complete it during the 2021 Kanto Celebration Event, which will run from February 21 at 10 a.m. local time until February 27 at 8 p.m. local time. You can learn more about this Kanto Celebration event right here.
