This event will only be available to paid ticket holders.
The Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event was held on February 20. While the event was supposed to feature lots of premium content that only paid ticket holders could access, “a technical issue” allowed many non-ticket holders to access the premium content without actually spending any money.
Since non-paying players were able to access the same content that other players paid real money for, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, has announced a bonus Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event for paid ticket holders.
This Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Bonus Event will run from March 5 at 10 a.m. local time until April 5 at 10 a.m. local time. During this time, paid ticket holders will have access to exclusive Timed Research tasks that they can complete to earn a variety of rewards, including:
Ticket holders will also be able to claim a free box of three Remote Raid Passes from the in-game store. Players will have until April 5 at 10 a.m. local time to complete the Bonus Event’s Timed Research tasks and claim this Remote Raid Pass bundle.
Finally, in a news post, Niantic said non-paying players who received access to the premium Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Special Research tasks will not lose access to these tasks. However, they won’t receive access to these new Timed Research tasks or the Remote Raid Pass bundle.
