Trainers, the Season of Discovery is almost over in Pokemon Go, and Niantic, the game’s developer, has revealed details about the next Season that’s about to kick off.

The next Season is called the Season of Mischief, and it will run from September 1, 2021 at 10 a.m. local time until December 1 at 10 a.m. local time.

During the Season of Mischief, different Pokemon will have the chance to appear in the wild in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. For instance, Jigglypuff, Slowpoke, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Bidoof, and the Autumn Form of Deerling will have the chance to appear in the Northern Hemisphere during this Season, and Clefairy, Roselia, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Tympole, and the Spring Form of Deerling will have the chance to appear in the wild in the Southern Hemisphere.

Different pocket monsters will also appear in different types of areas, like cities, forests, and near water during the Season of Mischief. In addition, different Pokemon will have the chance to hatch from Eggs that are collected during the Season. You can learn more about these changes on the Pokemon Go website.

When the Season of Mischief begins on September 1, players will receive a Special Research storyline that will last the entire Season. This storyline will focus on the appearance of Hoopa in Pokemon Go, and it will allow players to encounter Confined Hoopa for their collections. Niantic said the different parts of this Special Research storyline will become available “when certain events begin.”

The first in-game event of the Season will be called “Hoopa’s Arrival,” and it will take place on September 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time. Check out our previous coverage to see everything that’s going on during this event.
