Here's what you need to know!

The Lush Jungle event is coming soon to Pokemon Go! This event will run from March 22, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time until March 29, 2022 at 8 p.m. local time.

Once this event begins, Fomantis and Lurantis will become available to collect in Pokemon Go. The Shiny version of Cottonee will also become available.

During the Lush Jungle event, Metapod, Paras, Exeggcute, Hoothoot, Sudowoodo, Fomantis, and Ferroseed will appear more frequently than normal in the wild. There will also be the chance for Pinsir and Cottonee to appear in the wild, but the Pokemon Go website indicated they’ll be rarer than the other Pokemon that will be featured during this event.

A variety of Pokemon will appear in Raids during this event:

  • Tier-1 Raids – Bellsprout, Tangela, Sewaddle, and Cottonee
  • Tier-3 Raids – Butterfree, Vileplume, Parasect, and Exeggutor
  • Tier-5 Raids – Tapu Lele
  • Mega Raids – Mega Charizard Y

Players will be able to complete Timed Research tasks during this event to earn in-game rewards. In addition, once this event begins, the “Akala Island” Special Research tasks will become available in the game.

Elsewhere, players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks during this event to receive encounters with Caterpie, Exeggcute, Sunkern, Wurmple, Seedot, Cottonee, Ferroseed, and Fomantis. Paras and Parasect will also be available to encounter after completing event-themed Field Research tasks, but the Pokemon Go website indicated that encounters with these Pokemon will be rarer than encounters with the other featured pocket monsters.

Finally, from March 26, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time until March 27, 2022 at 8 p.m. local time, a “Lush Jungle Weekend Park Spotlight” event will take place. During this short event, Cottonee will appear more frequently in parks.
