Pokemon Go Global Challenge: Unlock Rewards During Pokemon Go Fest

Wednesday, June 12th, 2019 7:24 am

Players can work together to complete challenges this summer to unlock some awesome in-game bonuses.

The first Pokemon Go Fest of 2019 takes place in Chicago from June 13-16. It will be followed by two more Pokemon Go Fests later this summer in Dortmund, Germany and Yokohama, Japan.

While lots of players will be on hand to participate in these events in person, the entire Pokemon Go community will be able to get it on the fun through a new Global Challenge event series.

During each of the three Pokemon Go Fest events, players will be encouraged to complete as many in-game research tasks as possible to complete challenges. There will be four challenges to complete for each event, which correspond to each event’s attendees, as well as Pokemon Go’s three teams: Mystic, Instinct, and Valor.

For each challenge that’s successfully completed, a special in-game bonus will be activated for the entire community for a limited time after each event ends. Here’s how it all breaks down.

Finally, if all 12 challenges are completed at these three events this summer, an extra bonus will be unlocked at some point in the future, though details about that bonus are still under wraps.

To be especially clear, even though each team has its own challenge to complete during each Pokemon Go Fest event, the rewards for these events will be available for every player, regardless of team. If you’re interested in participating in these challenges, mark your calendars now so you don’t miss out!
