Pokemon Go A Cosmic Companion Special Research Tasks Guide

The Season of Light has kicked off in Pokemon Go! This Season will run from September 1, 2022 to December 1, 2022, and it will feature the Legendary Pokemon Cosmog. You can learn more about the Season of Light in our previous coverage.

During the Season of Light, players will be able to complete Special Research tasks that will become available at three times throughout the Season: September 1, 2022, October 5, 2022 and November 23, 2022.

According to Leek Duck, these Special Research tasks are called “A Cosmic Companion.”

According to Leek Duck, here’s what the “A Cosmic Companion” Special Research tasks ask players to do in Pokemon Go, and the rewards players will receive for completing them.

A Cosmic Companion Part 1

• Catch 15 Pokemon – 5 Razz Berries
• Make 10 Curveball Throws – An encounter with Staryu
• Catch 15 Psychic-Type Pokemon – 5 Pinap Berries

Final Rewards: 1,000 experience points, 500 Stardust, and an encounter with Cosmog

A Cosmic Companion Part 2

• Give Your Buddy 3 Treats – An encounter with Woobat
• Earn 10 Candies Walking With Your Buddy – An encounter with Staryu
• Catch 15 Psychic-Type Pokemon – An encounter with Munna

Final Rewards: 2,000 experience points, 500 Stardust, and a Poffin

A Cosmic Companion Part 3

• Earn 15 Hearts With Your Buddy – An encounter with Ralts
• Send 10 Gifts to Friends – An encounter with Staryu
• Catch 20 Different Species of Pokemon – 25 Poke Balls

Final Rewards: 3,000 experience points, 1,000 Stardust and five Pinap Berries

A Cosmic Companion Part 4

• Catch 3 Pokemon – 789 experience points

Final Rewards: 3,000 experience points, 1,000 Stardust, and 25 Cosmog Candy

• Complete 5 Field Research Tasks – An encounter with Baltoy
• Power Up Pokemon 10 Times – An encounter with Staryu
• Evolve a Cosmog – 1,000 Stardust

Final Rewards: 25 Cosmog Candy, 1,000 experience points, and 750 Stardust

A Cosmic Companion Part 6

• Complete 10 Field Research Tasks – An encounter with Elgyem
• Power Up Pokemon 10 Times – An encounter with Staryu
• Walk 5 km – An encounter with Girafarig

Final Rewards: 25 Cosmog Candy, 2,000 experience points, and 750 Stardust

A Cosmic Companion Part 7

• Earn 15 Hearts With Your Buddy – An encounter with Kirlia
• Hatch an Egg – An encounter with Staryu
• Catch 20 Different Species of Pokemon – 25 Great Balls

Final Rewards: 10 Poke Balls, 3,000 experience points, and 1,500 Stardust

A Cosmic Companion Part 8

• Catch 3 Pokemon – 789 experience points

Final Rewards: 50 Cosmog Candy, 3,000 experience points, and 1,500 Stardust

• Evolve a Cosmoem – An encounter with Staryu

• Evolve 3 Pokemon – 12 Nanab Berries
• Walk 5 km – An encounter with Staryu
• Make 15 Great Throws – 10 Pinap Berries

Final Rewards: 4,000 experience points, 1,000 Stardust, and an encounter with Lunatone

• Earn 15 Hearts With Your Buddy – An encounter with Gardevoir
• Catch 25 Different Species of Pokemon – An encounter with Staryu
• Earn 10,000 Stardust – 25 Ultra Balls
