Become a Monster Rider...

In a recent Nintendo Direct Mini video presentation, two new games in the Monster Hunter series were announced for Nintendo Switch: Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a single-player, story-driven role-playing game.

According to a Nintendo press release, the game “puts players in the role of a Monster Rider who befriends iconic monsters from the Monster Hunter series as they embark on epic adventures together.”

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is expected to be released on Nintendo Switch in Summer 2021, though an exact release date wasn’t revealed. In addition, the game has yet to be rated by the ESRB. However, the first Monster Hunter Stories game was rated E10+ for Everyone 10+, so it’s possible Wings of Ruin will receive the same rating.
