Littles can interact with animals, practice their numbers, and more in this free-to-play mobile game.

Lego Duplo World is a free-to-play mobile game created by The Lego Group and Touch Press. The game was designed to help kids 2-5 in multiple early learning areas, such as reasoning, fine-motor skills, and social and emotional development, among others.

In Lego Duplo World, kids can participate in both guided and open-ended activities that focus on different learning areas. Littles start with access to the “Number Train” activity, while two additional areas — World Animals and Rescue Adventure — are available to unlock through in-app purchase. Each one costs $4.99, or you can purchase them in a bundle for $7.99. The app prevents kids from accidentally purchasing these items by locking the purchase menu behind a prompt that asks for the birth year of a grown up.

The free Number Train activity asks kids to do things like place numbered Lego Duplo bricks on a train in order from 1-9, and sort bricks into the right train cars based on their colors. There are also free-play activities available, which let kids build train cars using a variety of Lego Duplo bricks and/or interact with Lego Duplo characters.

If kids make a mistake during one of the goal-based activities, they’re not penalized, and they can simply keep playing and try again.

While there are only three areas to access right now, additional content will be added in future updates.

Lego Duplo World is available to download for free on iOS and you can pre-register for it now on Android. The game is rated 4+ on iOS and E for Everyone on Android. It’s available in over 20 languages.
