Complete a new story chapter featuring Kairi.

Earlier this year, video game company Square Enix announced Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, a rhythm game set in the Kingdom Hearts franchise.

Melody of Memory will ask players to press buttons in time with the music to help Sora, Donald Duck, Goofy, and other characters from the Kingdom Hearts franchise complete stages, including boss battles. The game will feature more than 140 songs pulled from the games in the Kingdom Hearts franchise.

Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory will allow you to play on your own, or team up with other players for some local (in the same room) and online multiplayer gameplay. It will also feature a new story chapter, which is told from Kairi’s perspective.

While Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory will be released on Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, in a Nintendo Direct Mini presentation Wednesday, Nintendo announced that the Switch version of the game will have an exclusive “Free-for-all” gameplay mode that will support up to eight players in the same room.

Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory will launch on Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 13. Switch and Xbox One pre-orders are available starting Wednesday, and they’ll be available on PlayStation 4 in the future. If you purchase Melody of Memory from the PlayStation store before December 31, 2020, you’ll receive a free Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory theme for your system.

Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory is rated E10+ for Everyone 10+ by the ESRB.
