Google Play Pass is an optional subscription service for Android devices that gives subscribers unlimited access to a curated selection of games and applications. Here’s everything you need to know about this service.

How does Google Play Pass work?

Google Play Pass gives subscribers unlimited access to hundreds of mobile games and applications for a single monthly price. These games and apps don’t include ads or in-app purchases.

New games and applications are regularly added to the Google Play Pass catalog. Android users can identify games and apps that are included in Google Play Pass by looking for the Google Play Pass logo on a game’s or app’s page in the Google Play Store application.

Parents should know that some of the games and apps in the Google Play Pass catalog aren’t appropriate for kids. For instance, as of this writing, a game called This War of Mine is included in the Google Play Pass catalog. This game has an M for Mature rating, which means the game has been deemed inappropriate for anyone under the age of 17. You can view the age rating for a game or application in the Google Play Store on the page for the game and app before downloading it.

How much does Google Play Pass cost?

Google Play Pass costs $4.99 per month. A yearly subscription is also available for $29.99.

New users can try Google Play Pass for free via a 1-month free trial.

Finally, if someone is a manager of a family group, they can share their Google Play Pass subscription with up to five other people in their family at no additional cost.

How do I subscribe to Google Play Pass?

As of this writing, a Google Play Pass subscription can be purchased on devices that have Android version 4.4 or above installed. Users will also need version 16.6.25 or above of the Google Play Store application on their device.

Users can subscribe to Google Play Pass by opening the Google Play Store application on their device, opening the app’s menu, and then tapping “Play Pass.”
