The latest expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game (Pokemon TCG) is now available. The Pokemon Go expansion for the Pokemon TCG is inspired by the Pokemon Go mobile game, and it includes cards that feature artwork inspired by the game.
For instance, the expansion includes an Item card featuring a Lure Module, a Stadium card featuring a PokeStop, a Blissey card that pictures the pocket monster defending a Gym, and more.
Each product in the Pokemon TCG: Pokemon Go expansion includes one or more codes that can be redeemed for free items in the Pokemon Go mobile game. Check out our guide to learn how to redeem these codes in Pokemon Go.
As of this writing, the following products are available in the Pokemon TCG: Pokemon Go expansion. Additional products will be released later in 2022.
SuperParent had the chance to go hands-on with some of these items. Here’s a look at what they contain.
Priced at $49.99, this Elite Trainer Box includes 10 Pokemon TCG: Pokemon Go booster packs, a foil promo card of Mewtwo V, 65 card sleeves featuring artwork of Mewtwo, 45 Pokemon TCG Energy Cards, six damage-counter dice, a coin-flip die, two condition markers, one VSTAR marker, a player’s guide for the Pokemon Go expansion, a collector’s box, four dividers (these can be used to keep groups of cards organized), and a code card that contains a code players can redeem in the digital version of the Pokemon TCG.
Available for $49.99, the Radiant Eevee Premium Collection includes eight Pokemon TCG: Pokemon Go booster packs, a foil promo card of Radiant Eevee, a Radiant Eevee pin, a playmat featuring artwork of Radiant Eevee, and a code card containing a code that can be redeemed in the digital version of the Pokemon TCG.
These three products are inspired by the three teams in the Pokemon Go mobile game: Team Instinct, Team Mystic, and Team Valor. Each set includes six Pokemon TCG: Pokemon Go booster packs, a foil promo card featuring the team leader for the associated team (Spark for Team Instinct, Blanche for Team Mystic, and Candela for Team Valor), a pin featuring the emblem for the associated team, and a code card that has a code that can be redeemed in the digital version of the Pokemon TCG. Each Special Team Collection is priced at $29.99.
Priced at $19.99, the Alolan Exeggutor V Collection includes four Pokemon TCG: Pokemon Go booster packs, a foil promo card of Alolan Exeggutor V, an oversized foil card of Alolan Exeggutor V, and a code card containing a code that can be redeemed in the digital version of the Pokemon TCG.
This package includes two decks of 60 cards each. One deck includes a foil Mewtwo V card, while the other features a foil Melmetal V card. The package also includes 11 extra Trainer Cards, including five foil cards, as well as two Pokemon TCG: Pokemon Go booster packs. Finally, the Battle Deck comes with a sticker sheet, two metallic coins, two deck boxes, two strategy sheets, two single-player playmats, six reference cards, two damage counters, a guide for “upgrading your decks,” and a code card that contains a code players can redeem in the digital version of the Pokemon TCG. The Pokemon TCG: Pokemon Go V Battle Deck – Mewtwo vs. Melmetal is available for $39.99.
