It's coming soon.
In April, MGA Entertainment, the company behind brands like L.O.L. Surprise and Little Tikes, launched Operation Pac-Man, which was designed to help healthcare workers and hospitals in their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of Operation Pac-Man, MGA Entertainment (technically MGA Entertainment Cares) has created a special L.O.L. Surprise doll that will help raise money for the cause.
The limited edition “Frontline Hero” L.O.L Surprise doll comes with a white lab coat outfit, a face mask, pink boots, a bottle, and an MGAE Cares sticker. The doll’s description on the L.O.L. Surprise website says you can “[f]eed your doll for an additional surprise, a water surprise!”
The Frontline Hero doll is available to pre-order now for $9.99. $1 of every purchase will go to the MGA Entertainment Cares nonprofit. The doll is expected to ship in the window of July-August 2020.
This isn’t the first toy that’s been created in response to the ongoing pandemic. TY Toys recently revealed a praying stuffed bear named Hope. The sales of the Hope bear will support the United Way Worldwide COVID-19 fund.
And of course, you don’t have to buy a toy at all to support the fight against COVID-19. A quick Google search for a phrase like “COVID-19 donate” will show you multiple organizations that are accepting donations.
