Take on more spooky Pokemon for a limited time.
Trainers, Halloween is almost here, and Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are celebrating with increased appearances by Ghost-type Pokemon in Max Raid Battles.
From now until November 1 at 3:59 pm PT, Pokemon such as Cofagrigus, Trevenant, Gourgeist, Mimikyu, and Polteageist will appear in Max Raid Battles, and there’s the chance for players to encounter Shiny Gourgeist.
As a reminder, you can find active Max Raid Battles in the Wild Areas of Sword and Shield by looking for beams of light shooting out of Pokemon Dens into the sky.
To ensure your game has this update, you can connect Sword or Shield to the internet, head into the Mystery Gift menu and select “Get the Wild Area News.”
The second expansion for Pokemon Sword and Shield, The Crown Tundra, recently launched on Switch. The expansion allows trainers to travel to the snowy Crown Tundra region, where they can encounter tons of Legendary Pokemon, as well as some new and returning pocket monsters.
