Pokemon Go What Lies Beneath the Mask Special Research Tasks Guide

Trainers, the 2021 Halloween Mischief event has kicked off in Pokemon Go! This event will run from October 15 to October 31, 2021, and you can learn more about it in our previous coverage.

With the launch of the Halloween Mischief event, players can now complete a series of Special Research tasks called “What Lies beneath the Mask?”

According to Leek Duck, here’s what these tasks ask players to do, and the rewards they’ll receive for completing them.

What Lies beneath the Mask? Part 1

• Catch 40 Ghost-Type Pokemon – 400 Stardust
• Transfer 9 Pokemon – An encounter with Duskull
• Make 49 Nice Throws – 9 Ultra Balls

Final Rewards: An encounter with Yamask, 4,000 experience points, and nine Nanab Berries

What Lies beneath the Mask? Part 2

• Catch 40 Ghost-Type Pokemon – An encounter with Halloween Mischief Pikachu
• Make 9 Curveball Throws – 490 Stardust
• Use 49 Berries to Help Catch Pokemon – An encounter with Banette

Final Rewards: An encounter with Galarian Yamask, 4,000 experience points, and nine Razz Berries

What Lies beneath the Mask? Part 3

• Catch 40 Ghost-Type Pokemon – 400 Stardust
• Catch 9 Different Species of Ghost-Type Pokemon – An encounter with Alolan Marowak
• Make 49 Great Throws – 49 Poke Balls

Final Rewards: An encounter with Galarian Yamask, 4,000 experience points, and nine Pinap Berries

What Lies beneath the Mask? Part 4

• Automatically Completed Task – 49 experience points
• Automatically Completed Task – 490 experience points
• Automatically Completed Task – 4,900 experience points

Final Rewards: 13 Galarian Yamask Candy and 4,900 Stardust
