Pokemon Go The Higher They Fly Special Research Tasks Guide

Trainers, a new set of Special Research tasks is now available in Pokemon Go, featuring Team Go Rocket and the return of Giovanni (Team Go Rocket’s leader).

This Special Research is called “The Higher They Fly,” and it has six sets of three tasks to complete (18 tasks in total).

According to The Silph Road subreddit, if you’re already in the middle of a previous set of Special Research tasks in the Team Go Rocket storyline, you may not receive this new research when you login. However, once you finish the Team Go Rocket Special Research storyline that you’re currently on, you should receive this new set of tasks.

According to Serebii.net, here’s what the tasks in this new storyline ask you to do, and the rewards you’ll receive for completing them.

The Higher They Fly Part 1

• Win a Raid – 15 Poke Balls
• Defeat 3 Team Go Rocket Grunts – 3 Hyper Potions
• Catch 1 Shadow Pokemon – 3 Revives

Final Rewards: 10 Pinap Berries, 10 Nanab Berries, and 10 Razz Berries

The Higher They Fly Part 2

• Catch 5 Shadow Pokemon – 1 Sun Stone
• Make 3 Nice Curveball Throws in a Row – 15 Great Balls
• Catch 10 Flying-type Pokemon – An encounter with Doduo

Final Rewards: 1,500 experience points, 500 Stardust, and 10 Pidgeot Mega Energy

The Higher They Fly Part 3

• Purify 5 Shadow Pokemon – 30 Pidgeot Mega Energy
• Defeat 5 Team Go Rocket Grunts – 30 Pidgeot Mega Energy
• Earn 3 Candies Walking With Your Buddy – 30 Pidgeot Mega Energy

Final Rewards: 2,000 experience points, 1 Rocket Radar, and an encounter with Pidgeot

The Higher They Fly Part 4

• Defeat Team Go Rocket Leader Arlo – 1,250 experience points
• Defeat Team Go Rocket Leader Cliff – 1,250 experience points
• Defeat Team Go Rocket Leader Sierra – 1,250 experience points

Final Rewards: 2,500 experience points, 1,000 Stardust, and 1 Super Rocket Radar

The Higher They Fly Part 5

• Find the Team Go Rocket Boss – 5 Max Potions
• Battle the Team Go Rocket Boss – 20 Ultra Balls
• Defeat the Team Go Rocket Boss – 5 Max Revives

Final Rewards: 3,000 experience points, 1 Fast TM, and 1 Charged TM

The Higher They Fly Part 6

• Automatically Completed Task – 2,000 experience points
• Automatically Completed Task – 2,000 experience points
• Automatically Completed Task – 2,000 experience points

Final Rewards: 2 Golden Razz Berries, 2 Silver Pinap Berries, and 1 Premium Battle Pass
