Pokemon Go Search for Zarude Special Research Tasks Guide

Trainers, the 2021 Secrets of the Jungle event has kicked off in Pokemon Go! This event celebrates the upcoming debut of Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle on Netflix. To see everything that’s going on during this event, check out our previous coverage.

As part of the 2021 Secrets of the Jungle event, players can collect a new series of Special Research tasks called “Search for Zarude!” in order to encounter the Mythical Pokemon Zarude. Players can only collect these Special Research tasks during this event, but once they collect them, they can complete them at any time (even after this Secrets of the Jungle event ends).

The 2021 Secrets of the Jungle event will end on October 10 at 8 p.m. local time.

According to Leek Duck, here’s what the Search for Zarude Special Research tasks ask players to do, and the rewards they’ll receive for completing them.

Search for Zarude Part 1

• Catch 7 Different Species of Pokemon – 1 Sun Stone
• Catch 7 Pokemon – An encounter with Diglett
• Take 3 Snapshots of Wild Ground-Type Pokemon – 15 Poke Balls

Final Rewards: 250 Stardust, 10 Nanab Berries, and an encounter with Drilbur

Search for Zarude Part 2

• Make 5 Great Throws in a Row – 5 Pinap Berries
• Catch 10 Bug-Type Pokemon – An encounter with Dwebble
• Take 3 Snapshots of Wild Bug-Type Pokemon – 10 Great Balls

Final Rewards: 250 Stardust, 10 Razz Berries, and an encounter with Combee

Search for Zarude Part 3

• Use 20 Berries to Help Catch Pokemon – An encounter with the Sunny Form of Cherrim
• Catch 30 Grass- or Bug-Type Pokemon – An encounter with Vileplume
• Take 3 Snapshots of Wild Grass-Type Pokemon – 10 Great Balls

Final Rewards: 500 Stardust, 10 Pinap Berries, and an encounter with Nuzleaf

Search for Zarude Part 4

• Defeat 6 Team Go Rocket Grunts – An encounter with Ariados
• Catch 15 Pokemon With Weather Boost – An encounter with Butterfree
• Take 3 Snapshots of Wild Flying-Type Pokemon – 10 Ultra Balls

Final Rewards: 500 Stardust, 1 Poffin, and an encounter with Rufflet

• Automatically Completed Task – 1,000 experience points
• Automatically Completed Task – 1,000 experience points
• Automatically Completed Task – 1,000 experience points

Final Rewards: An encounter with Zarude, 10 Zarude Candy, and 1,000 Stardust
