A special one-day event is coming soon.
Trainers, a new, one-day Limited Research event is coming soon to Pokemon Go!
On May 9 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time, you’ll be able to complete a series of Timed Research tasks that reward you with encounters with Marill. As an added bonus, Marill will have the chance to be Shiny!
Marill is a Water- and Fairy-type Pokemon from the second generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, Azurill can be evolved into Marill using 25 Marill Candy, and Marill can be evolved into Azumarill using 25 Marill Candy.
In addition to completing these Timed Research tasks, during this event, players will be able to visit PokeStops to collect event-themed Field Research tasks that also reward them with Marill encounters.
This isn’t the only event in May 2021 that will feature Marill. This adorable pocket monster will also be the star of the Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event on May 25. To learn more about this event, check out our previous coverage.
