Players can collect extra Pokemon Candy for a limited time.
The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on March 26, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During this event, Hoppip will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.
Hoppip is a Grass- and Flying-type Pokemon from the second generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Hoppip into Skiploom using 25 Hoppip Candy, and then evolve Skiploom into Jumpluff using 100 Hoppip Candy.
Shiny Hoppip is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Hoppip is all green, rather than pink and green.
To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Hoppip to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.
You can also toss Pinap Berries at Pokemon to double the number of Pokemon Candy you receive when capturing them. This Pinap Berry bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of Pokemon Candy for each Pokemon you capture during this event.
