A Greedy Gluttons event is coming soon to Pokemon Go!
The Greedy Gluttons event will run from November 9, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time until November 17, 2022 at 8 p.m. local time.
During this event, Alolan Rattata, Alolan Raticate, Golbat, Swinub, Pelipper, Gulpin, Bidoof, Bibarel, and Skwovet will appear more frequently than normal in the wild. Lickitung, Snorlax, and Swalot will also have the chance to appear in the wild during this event, though the Pokemon Go website indicated they’ll be rarer than the other featured Pokemon.
A variety of Pokemon will appear in Raids during this event:
Guzzlord will continue to appear in Raids after this event ends. Specifically, Guzzlord will be available to battle in Tier-5 Raids from November 8, 2022 until November 23, 2022.
Players will have the chance to hatch Cherubi, Gible, and Munchlax from 7 km Eggs that are collected during this event. In addition, once this event begins, players will have the chance to encounter Shiny Munchlax.
Next, players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks during this event to receive encounters with Exeggcute, Cherubi, and Swirlix. Players will also be able to complete Timed Research tasks during this event to receive Golden Razz Berries, Silver Pinap Berries, and an encounter with Snorlax.
Finally, on the Pokemon Go website, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, provided details about an in-game bonus that will be available during this event:
“1/2 Hatch Distance for the first three Eggs hatched during the event using the Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget. The widget is available on iOS and Android devices.”
During the Greedy Gluttons event, a Team Go Rocket Takeover event will take place from November 14, 2022 at 12 a.m. local time until November 17, 2022 at 8 p.m. local time.
Once this Team Go Rocket Takeover event begins, players will be able to collect a new series of Special Research tasks that will allow them to defeat Giovanni and encounter Shadow Mewtwo. Players will be able to collect this Special Research until December 1, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time.
Players will also be able to complete an event-themed Field Research task during this event to earn a Mysterious Component.
Elsewhere, once this Team Go Rocket Takeover event begins, players will be able to encounter Shadow Alolan Diglett, Shadow Onix, Shadow Natu, Shadow Wailmer, and Shadow Golett.
Two in-game bonuses will be available during the Team Go Rocket Takeover event:
Lastly, players will have the chance to hatch Larvitar, Absol, Skorupi, Sandile, Scraggy, Pawniard, Vullaby, Denio, Pancham, Skrelp, or Salandit from 12 km Eggs that are collected during this event. Once this event begins, players will have the chance to encounter Shiny Pawniard.
