Pokemon Go Glittering Garden Event: Shiny Petilil and More

As spotted by Serebii.net, the Glittering Garden event is coming soon to Pokemon Go.

The Glittering Garden event will run from August 5, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time until August 8, 2023 at 8 p.m. local time.

Once this event begins, Shiny Petilil will become available to collect in Pokemon Go.

During this event, Bulbasaur, Jigglypuff, Oddish, Hoppip, Seedot, Cacnea, Petilil, Ferroseed, Spritzee, Swirlix, and Dedenne will appear more frequently than normal in the wild.

Budew, Cherubi, Sewaddle, Petilil, Bounsweet, and Larvesta will have the chance to hatch from 2 km Eggs that are collected during this event, though the Pokemon Go website indicated Larvesta will be rarer than the other Pokemon.

A few in-game bonuses will be active during this event:

• The walking distance to earn hearts with your Buddy Pokemon will be cut in half.
• Players will have an increased chance of receiving Candy XL when walking with their Buddy Pokemon.
• Players will receive 1.5 times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when hatching Pokemon.
• Players will receive 1.5 times the normal amount of Stardust when hatching Pokemon.

Each day during this event, a different Pokemon will appear more frequently in parks. Here’s the schedule:

• August 5 – Petilil
• August 6 – Cacnea
• August 7 – Oddish
• August 8 – Seedot

Players will be able to complete Timed Research tasks during this event to receive in-game rewards. Players will also be able to complete Field Research tasks during this event to receive encounters with Tangela, Roselia, Petilil, and Foongus.
