Players can receive extra Pokemon Candy for a limited time.
The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on February 28, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During this event, Slakoth will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.
Slakoth is a Normal-type Pokemon from the third generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Slakoth into Vigoroth using 25 Slakoth Candy, and then evolve Vigoroth into Slaking using 100 Slakoth Candy.
Shiny Slakoth is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Slakoth is pink, rather than tan.
To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Slakoth to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.
You can also toss Pinap Berries at Pokemon to double the number of Pokemon Candy you receive when you capture them. This Pinap Berry bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of Pokemon Candy for each Pokemon you capture during this event.
