The final Spotlight Hour event for April is almost here!
Trainers, April’s final Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event is set to take place on April 28 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During that one-hour window, the Normal- and Flying-type Pokemon Pidgey will appear more frequently in the wild, and you’ll also earn twice the normal amount of experience points each time you evolve a Pokemon.
Pidgey has two evolutions. You can evolve Pidgey into Pidgeotto using 12 Pidgey Candy, and then evolve Pidgeotto into Pidgeot using 50 Pidgey Candy.
Since you can evolve Pidgey using relatively little Candy, a good strategy for this event would be to evolve lots of Pidgey into Pidgeotto so that you’ll earn plenty of experience points in a short time. If you want to boost your XP earnings even more, make sure to activate a Lucky Egg during this event, which will give you double the amount of experience points for completing in-game actions for 30 minutes.
Trainers, keep in mind that these Spotlight Hour events are still considered to be “in testing.” It’s possible the event may change for the month of May, or these events may not take place in May at all. Keep checking back with SuperParent, as we’ll make sure to let you know what happens either way.
