Watch out for Pokemon wearing flower crowns!
Spring has arrived in the Northern Hemisphere, and to celebrate, Pokemon Go is getting ready to host its 2021 Spring Event.
This year’s Spring Event will run from April 4 at 10 a.m. local time until April 8 at 8 p.m. local time.
During this event, Pikachu wearing a flower crown, Exeggcute, Marill, Plusle, Minun, Buneary, Bunnelby, and more pocket monsters will appear more frequently than normal in the wild. Plus, there will be the chance to encounter Shiny Bunnelby.
In addition, Chansey wearing flower crowns will appear in the wild during this event, while Happiny wearing flower crowns will have the chance to hatch from 2km Eggs that are collected during this time. If you evolve Chansey with a flower crown into Blissey, Blissey will also have the flower crown. Both Chansey and Happiny will have the chance to be Shiny.
Next, Exeggcute, Eevee wearing a flower crown, Pichu wearing a flower crown, Togepi, Azurill, Buneary, Munchlax, Rufflet, and Bunnelby (along with Happiny wearing a flower crown) will have the chance to hatch from 2km Eggs that are collected during this Spring Event.
Elsewhere, Shadow Exeggcute will appear more frequently than normal in Team Go Rocket battles during the Spring Event, and Mega Lopunny will make its debut in Pokemon Go in Mega Raids. In a news post, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, said other “spring-themed” pocket monsters will also appear in Raids during this event.
During the game’s spring festivities, players will be able to complete Field Research tasks that reward them with encounters with Pokemon like Azumarill and Rufflet, among others. Plus, players will be able to complete a new Collection Challenge to receive a Lucky Egg, Mega Lopunny Energy, and experience points.
Finally, Mega Lopunny-themed avatar items will be available in the in-game shop, and players will have the chance to collect spring-themed stickers from Gifts and PokeStops during the Spring event.
Three in-game bonuses will be active throughout the entire Spring event:
